How does Karmic Shopping work?

Karmic Shopping is brought to you by the Universal Strength Foundation. Universal Strength is commited to protect the evironment, improve global health and enhance living standards for all. Universal Strength Foundation is not a religious or political organization.

On the KarmicShopping.com website, you will find a list of shopping categories and partner stores, choose a category or store and go shopping! The banners and links are coded with our information. Once you are at one of our partner stores our job is done and you get to enjoy your shopping. The prices and experience are identical but we will receive commission for everything that you purchase after you click over from our site. We don't get to see what you buy but we are happy if you buy a lot of stuff.

Please note: Once you are at your destination website (after using the link from our website) you may not see any Karmic Shopping information - it is electronically coded and the browser knows we sent you. So don't panic, we well still receive our commission and will be able to give to charity.

We use 20% of our revenue to operate Universal Strength. The other 80% is used to donate to not for profit organizations and to further the development of our outreach. All work at present is done pro bono by a dedicated team. We are a privately funded organization and do not accept grants or use any public funds. Universal Strength was started by a small group of individuals led by Tau (Jonty Braun) who wanted to use their money, resources and time to make a positive difference.

By stopping in at KarmicShopping.com and then clicking over to our partner stores, you contribute to charity. The price is the same and yet money is going to worthy causes all over the world. You are only one click away from being able to generate much needed money for global not for profit organizations. In the near future our site will give you great information about trends and cool products in each of the shopping sections. This content will be provided by chosen Universal Strength Aficionados - experts and trend spotters - in each shopping category.

Who does Universal Strength donate money to?

In June of 2006 we chose The Global Giving Foundation as our primary beneficiary. We wanted to align ourselves with an organization that efficiently dispersed money to impact based, global not for profit organizations. GlobalGiving connects individual and institutional donors directly to social and economic development projects, as well as environmental causes, around the world. We want to ensure that donations from us reach their destinations quickly, effectively and in the most transparent way possible. We like the diversity of projects that Global Giving supports, we like the fact that they support projects all over the world and we love the fact that they are soundly structured!

Do I have to sign up to use Universal Strength?

You can use the website without signing up. By registering, you receive discounts at our partner companies and invitations to Universal Strength events. There is strength in numbers, the more registrations we have the more corporate sponsorship we will receive and the greater the impact on global issues. Your information is kept confidential and we do not give your information to a third party without your consent. We encourage you to sign up and spread the word.

 
 

What can I look forward to from Universal Strength?

We are working on development in a few key areas:

  • Greater networking and "friends" on the Universal Strength website
  • More partner companies for shopping
  • Universal Strength products - we currently have T-shirts and Tags but we are going to be bringing you a great selection of Universal Strength products
  • Development of the website - soon you are going to want to have Universal Strength as your homepage! It will include news, entertainment, updates on global issues, product releases and networking.
  • Events - parties, fashion shows, movie premieres, and concerts each creating charity funding
  • Movies, Music and the Arts - we are committed to the development and promotion of Art and Culture
  • Global Issue Education - we are working on a program to introduce global issue education to schools - in a fun, empowering and motivational way
